27. - 30. Juli, 2026, 11:15-13:15. Bitte um Voranmeldung bis 12. Juli! about the workshop: This workshop is for dancers with intermediate to advanced experience in contemporary dance. We will dive into the dynamics of falling, acceleration, and suspension, cultivating a deeper awareness of these elements and learning to move with greater freedom through them. Sessions will include both improvisation exercises and set material that guide us through the relationship between the body, gravity, momentum, and the floor. Expect a soft start, growing into energetic material in and out of the floor. Biography Elda Gallo is a contemporary dancer and performer based in Vienna. She graduated from the Dance Theatre Academy Paolo Grassi in Milan and from SEAD – Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance. Throughout her training and career, she has worked with and been directed by choreographers such as L. Child, Shen Wei, Gru9jhppo MK, A. Vidach, P. Blackman & C. Gouzelis, M. Koistinen, and R. Olivan. She has performed with the international companies Pietro Marullo (Belgium) and Natiscalzi DT (Italy), as well as in various productions at Dschungel Wien. In Austria, she has collaborated with the companies: TanzCoop, Vrum, Lazuz, Cie Two in One, PUC, among others. Over the years she has collaborated, danced and co-created with Masako Matsushita, Rebecca Murgi, Eyal Bromberg, Luca Signoretti, Matteo Marfoglia, and Sebastian Zuber (Switzerland). In 2024, she was part of the Tanzquartier Wien dance group Parasol and worked with choreographers Ulduz Ahmadzadeh and Elisabeth Ward. She has performed for the Vienna State Opera and for the Viennese choreographer Georg Blaschke. Since 2023, she has been collaborating with Alina Bertha.
